Women Empowerment Cambodia
Empowering women is one of the important elements of having a prosperous and sustainable world. It can give full play to women's strong points to strengthen economies and accelerate the development of other aspects of society. The GEE women’s empowerment program aims to provide youths the opportunity to know more about themselves and the issues of empowering women.
Students will learn about the history, culture, and lives of women in Cambodia through the 12 days experience. Students will have rare chances to meet with women lead organizations, women weaving workers, and women hospitality NGOs, visit local villages. Student will brainstorm how to help to improve the lives of the women in Cambodia.

UNDERSTAND THE WOMEN LEAD ORGANIZATIONS IN CAMBODIA
Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia and sits at the junction of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers. It was a hub for both the Khmer Empire and French colonialists.

DISCOVER CAMBODIA HISTORY AND CULTURE
Begin with the Royal Palace, built in 1866 when Phnom Penh is named the capital city.
And it is a must to visit Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields to learn the history of Cambodia. The museum aims to inspire the younger generation to promote peace. Last but not least, the memorial park at Choeung Ek has been built around the mass graves of many thousands of victims. This is also to educate the world on how to prevent dictatorship and genocide of humans.

Travel to Siem Reap. Service Learning program to empower women in Cambodia. Today, you will interact with the local girls or women. It is an excellent opportunity for them to learn about the American culture and how to gain confidence. By talking with these women, they will feel worthy and valued.

Visit women lead organizations & site visits to learn about their project and how to impact the lives of women in Cambodia.
Visit the non-profit training restaurants, which provide training and working opportunities for unprivileged youth.
WOMEN AT WORK
Meet the women weaving workers and women hospitality NGO. Visit one of the Women Education NGO to learn how low the opportunity for women to be educated in Cambodia is and how they earn support from the NGO.
You will have the opportunity to learn how an NGO helps to support girls to avoid abuse and violence through education.
